The final round of Q school ended yesterday Sat 21st. Going into the day I was 2 shots outside of the top 2o to make it to the final stage of Q School. I started the week of well shooting 69 69 but then shot 74 in the third round. I made some mistakes in the third round and couldn't get any putts to fall. It was a very bad day that put be outside looking in, however I had one day left to make a good comeback.
The final round started at 7:55 on the tenth hole for me. I was really looking forward to playing well and was feeling good about my game. I had my chances all day but wasn't able to make anything. I missed several short putts and even had a couple 3 putts. To say the least I was very dissapointed in not being able to get the job done. I ended up falling two shots shy of making it to the final stage.
On to next year... I will most likely be playing on the eGolf Tour and a few Hooters Tour events. I will probably try a few more Nationwide Monday Qualifyers. It will be another year to work on my game and get even better, I know I have a lot to learn in this game and I am going to continue to keep working at it!
Thanks for everyones support throughout the year and I will continue to keep updates as the winter goes on!

2nd Stage Day 1
Day 1 at Calloway Gardens is done and shot 69 on the opening day. It was a good start to the week. Made 2 bogeys and 5 birdies on the day. There are still 3 days left and lot of work to be done. I am starting to feel better as the week has gone on and just need to keep hitting it well and make a few putts. I will keep everyone updated on the week as it unfolds.

Q School Begins!
First stage is finished and what a week... Coming into the week I was feeling very good about my game as well as my putting. I had just came off a t4 finish at the eGolf Tour Championship. It was a great way to start the week.
Well just go ahead and throw all those thoughts out the window... The first round in Florence for the first stage was on Wednesday the 21st. I am not sure what changed but from the first hole I wasn't hitting it nearly as well or making any putts. I started the week with a pull hook driver to make an easy double bogey. I'm thinking to myself no big deal, long week, you can get it back. Short story it didn't come back and struggled the first and second day with my game as well as my mental approach to the game. Through two rounds I was sitting at +4 and the cut was looking like it might jump to -4 for the tournament.
Two days left and I was searching for something... I was starting to feel better about everything just because I did hit it well the second round just putted sooo bad!
The third round I went in knowing that I needed to start piecing together a tournament to get back to the cut line. I had two days to get the job done. The good news was that I had some experience from last year and knew the number that I had to get to. The third round was very similar to the first two in that I hit it well just couldn't get the ball in the hole... with three holes to play in the third round I was sitting only at even for the day. I hit it to 6 feet on the 16th hole. Walking to the green I came up with the idea to try something else with the putter. I switched my grip to the very unconventional "claw grip" and was able to make the putt and gave me some confidence! I ended up making 2 birdies on the last two holes to finish at -3 for the day and more importantly a fighting chance for tomorrow. I would use this new found putting style the rest of the week.
The last round began Sat morning with some stiff wind and a chance for rain. I was excited to see the weather change knowing that I could play well under those conditions and it would make the people around the cut line stress that much more, they had to deal with the Q school stress as well as the weather conditions. The final day was a good day for me. I started off making a birdie on my second hole, nearly made it from the fairway... always a good way to start. However, on my fourth hit a really bad tee shot and made double. Not good but I kept motivating myself and good things happened the rest of the day. I ended up with a 66 on the final day... starting the day I had 65 in my head but the weather was tough and the course played difficult.
So I posted -3 for the week and now all there was to do was wait and see if it was going to be good enough. I couldn't wait around and watch the scoreboard so I left and started driving! Places to go and I couldn't make the numbers on the board change so I would just let the scores come in and hope I was good enough!
I ended up making it on the number! Good enough... all I needed was to make it through and have somewhere to play for second stage. The journey goes on and there is lots of work to be done to get ready for the coming stages. I am going to get it together and it will be alright!
Thanks to everyone for all the motivation through texts and calls! It means a lot to me!
Keep checking back for updates and thanks for following!!!

eGolf Tour Championship
It has been a while since my last blog... I have been working hard on my game and back in the gym over the past couple weeks getting ready for the final stretch of tournaments. The eGolf Tour Championship and Q School. I feel as if I have been getting back in mid season form and ready to make a late run at things as the year finishes.
I just finished up the eGolf Tour Championship in Pinehurst, NC on Thursday. It was a good week as I played well all week and got to see some putts go in the hole the last round! I finished the week T4 ($10500) shooting 68-69-64. It was nice to get back out and compete after taking a couple weeks off to work on things. As for the week... the first round was perfect weather and perfect scoring conditions. I wasn't really able to take full advantage of the conditions but managed to get the job done at 3 under, hit it well just didn't make enough putts. The second day wasn't quite as nice however, it was a rainy, damp, cold day. Scores were high. I played solid shooting 1 under but again didn't make any putts 17 pars 1 birdie. The final round was the day the putts were finally falling. I took a new thought into the final round with the putter and rolled it well all day (good thing because I almost benched the putter... Haven't switched putters all year)! I made 7 birdies no bogies for a 64 to climb to leaderboard for a t4 finish! It was a great way to finish off the eGolf Tour and a good way to go into Q School next week in Florence, SC.
Thanks again for following my progress and I will continue to keep updates as I go along!

Cabarrus Classic
Another week in the books! Finished up this past week in Charlotte, NC. The week went fairly well for the most part. After day 1 I was well behind the field and put myself in bad position to have a good week. I turned it around on days 2 and 3 and played well shooting 67 68. I was very pleased with my final round as I hit the ball well! It has been a while since I have had a round where I hit it that well and felt in control of my game. The reason I wasn't able to shoot lower than what I did was the putter... the game revolves around the putter!
Overall I am feeling good about this past week. I now have a couple weeks to prepare my game for the Tour Championship and then Q School! I am going to be working hard and can't wait for what is to come!

Cabarrus Classic
This week I am in Charlotte, NC playing in the Cabarrus Classic. Thru two rounds I am sitting at -4. Scores are low, as they always are out here. The leader is at -13. As for my rounds, the first day I was a Cabarrus CC were scores have been lower than the other course. I played poorly to say the least. After 11 holes I was 4 over and not feeling too good about the game. I ended the day with an even par 72 coming in with some good birdies and a eagle. It was a long day but all things considered it was good to finish at even par. Today I played at Charlotte National and shot 67, -4. It was a pretty good day on the course, I felt as if I hit the ball well for most of the day.
Tomorrow is the final round. Just going to tee it up again and see what happens! Today was a good day, hopefully tomorrow will be better and some putts will go in!

Walnut Creek Championship
So I am a little late updating after this past weeks event. I ended up the week at 3 under par and finished T40. It was a frustrating week but that is how it goes... golf is a tough game both physically and mentally. To be honest I wasn't on top of my game at all during the event. I got down on myself more than I should have but I will learn from that and try not to do that again!
I have spent this weekend in Hilton Head working with my coach and getting in some good practice. I am feeling better about my game and feel as if I am making good progress, my swing is starting to look like it did earlier in the year... when I was playing some pretty good golf. Needless to say I am looking forward to this weeks event in Charlotte. Thanks for following and I will continue to keep updating this as the week goes on!
All the best!

Walnut Creek Open
So this week I am in Goldsboro, NC. Today was the first round. I didn't have much going my way today. Started out by shooting 2 over on the front nine. Wasn't very good, I held on and came back with 3 under on the back nine to shoot 1 under on the day. It definitely was not my best of days but that is how it goes with golf. Scores are low, which was to be expected today. It was absolutley perfect out and the course was not playing hard at all.
Good news for me however is that I get to play again tomorrow and shoot something lower! Check back in the coming days for updates. Thanks for following!

Savannah Championship
So another week is in the books. I finished up T30 this week in Savannah. It was a disappointing last couple days as I really though I was going to play a lot better than I did. I just made several bad mistakes both with my swing as well as course management. I ended up with rounds of 70-68-70-71. All in all it was another cashed check and another week to learn from all the mistakes. I am confident that it will all fall into place before too long!
As for my next couple weeks. The Tarheel Tour is off for 2 weeks before picking up again in NC. I might be playing in a Hooters event in MS but still haven't decided on that. For now I am just going to be working on my game and getting ready for what comes next! Thanks for following!

Savannah Championship
I am currently down in Savannah, GA at the Savannah Harbor Golf Course. I have finished two rounds shooting 70-68. It has been an interesting couple days with several delays and plenty of rain. This past weekend I was down in Hilton Head working with Tim, my swing coach, and we got a lot done and my swing is starting to feel really good again! It has carried over to this event as I have hit the ball well, just haven't made many putts... they will fall before too long!
I am actually writing this post in the middle of yet another rain delay... I finished the 2nd round at 7:30 this morning. We are scheduled to start the 3rd round at 4PM... hopefully we will get to tee it up. Check back for updates and thanks for all your help and support!

Wolf Challenge Pro-Am
The Wolf Challenge was this past weekend down at Covered Bridge Golf Club. The event is for kids charities. Overall the event was a great success and a lot of fun for everyone. I was fortunate enough to play in the Sunday Pro-Am. I played with the Powerbilt Team. We had a lot of fun as a team and I got to meet some great people.
I am taking this week off and next week I will be in Savannah, GA for an eGolf event at Savannah Harbor. Check back for updates and thanks again for your support and encouragement!

River Run Championship
Another week done and finally back home for a couple days!! This past week I played in the River Run Championship and it was quite the week! I left Columbia last Saturday and ended up staying in South Charlotte for the weekend. It was a nice relaxing stay however I caught I pretty good cold... I felt really bad all week leading up to the event and even the first round, which honeslty the golf course was the last place I wanted to be at 8:10 in the morning. My head was pounding! Overall I had a ok day considering the circumstances shooting 1 under 71. The next day I woke up feeling a lot better and I was actually excited to play again... always a good thing. I shot 66 in the second round, but made a double bogey 7 on my 17th hole so that left a bad taste for the day but overall I was pleased with my play. In the final round I shot 68 to finish the tournament at -11. I was very happy with the way I finished the last round going -4 on my last 8 holes! and finish T4 $7975. Hope everyone is doing great! Thanks for your support and keep checking back for updates!
I will be playing in the Wolf Challenge Pro-Am tomorrow (Sunday, August 16.) I will have a post on how everything goes. If anyone is interrested in coming down Sunday or Monday it would be great to see you, www.fuz.com. It is a great event and a lot of fun for the players and also spectators!

Columbia Championship
Another week is over as I finished up the Columbia Championship August 8. I finished up the week by shooting 69 68 on the weekend to finish T25. Overall it was a good week and another cashed check (3400). As the week went on I felt I was starting to swing better and gaining confidence leading into next week!
This week I am in Davidson, NC for the River Run Championship. I played one practice round today at Northstone CC and tomorrow I will practice out at River Run tomorrow. I am looking forward to the week! I will keep everyone up to date on how it is going for me. Thanks for following!

Columbia, SC thru 2 Rounds
Just finished up the second round of the Columbia Championship. It has been quite the two days for me! The first round I shot 69. It was an interesting round to say the least. I only hit 8 greens so was able to score quite well. Today's rounds was the complete opposite as the first. I hit 16 greens and shot 71! Every day is a new adventure!
I am looking forward to the next couple days. I made the cut by one shot which leaves me several shots off the lead at -11, but it only takes a couple good swings to get everything back in line. I tee off tomorrow at 9am. We will see what tomorrow has in store! Check back for more updates!
