This past week I was in Wales playing in the SWALEC Wales Challenge. The tournament started on Wed, I had drew an afternoon tee time for the first round. I didn't get to start the first days play until Thursday due to heavy rains made the course unplayable. I ended up shooting 70 (-2) the first day. It was a good day on the course, the golf course was playing difficult and there were only a few scores under par on day one. The second round I shot 73 (+1). It was a bit of a frustrating day as I had it going thru 12 holes and then struggled coming in making a double and a bogey. The third and final rounds we played on Saturday. It was a long day as I thought I was done with 36 hole days when I finished up college golf. I shot rounds of 73 71 on Saturday. It was just one of those days where I missed on a lot of opportunities to really play well. I had a couple unlucky breaks but that happens. I ended up finishing the week T11. It was my best finish since the win in Morocco so that was nice! As a golfer you are never satisfied though, looking forward to next week in Strasbourg, France. Heard it is a nice course and my game is starting to come around so we will see what happens!
My trip over here is now halfway complete; remaining events are in France, Kazakhstan, and Russia. Thanks for following me and I will keep updating as the weeks finish up!!

ECCO Championship Germany
This past week I was in Winsen, Germany playing in the ECCO Championship. The week started off on Tuesday morning for me when I arrived to the Hamburg airport. I had rented a car for the week as my hotel and the golf course were about 45 min from the airport. My home for the week was a small bed a breakfast about 5 min from the course. It was a very nice place, only problem was no one really spoke any English! I should have touched up on my German before getting here!
After getting everything settled in I went out Tuesday afternoon for a little practice. The golf course this week was very long!! It played nearly 7800 yards and the greens were very tricky to say the least. I had another practice day Wednesday as well as the Pro-Am Wednesday afternoon. The course was playing very difficult and to make things better I wasn't feeling very good about my game.
Thursday the tournament started. I teed off early Tuesday morning and shot an opening 72 (1 under, par 73), I was pleased with how things went the first day. The second round wasn't as good. I shot 2 over 74 to make the cut on the number! Wasn't all that good of a day, didn't really hit it too well or make many putts but was just able to make it to the weekend. The third round I shot my best round of the week, 70 (-3). The final round was quite disappointing for me as it played very difficult and it was a good day to move up the leaderboard. I shot 76 (+3). I hit it the best of all the days just had several three putts and wasn't able to take advantage of any opportunities for birdies. Good news is that I am starting to feel better with my game and looking forward to next week in Wales.
I didn't really have much of a chance to see much while I was in Germany. One evening I made a trip to Hamburg for dinner and other than that wasn't able to see much other than the small town I was staying in!! It was a nice place though... similar to Btown! I was planning on traveling to see some distant relatives here in Germany but wasn't able to due to a tight schedule. Overall I have really liked Germany! People have been super friendly and the food has been great (usually how I judge places)!
Next week I am off to Wales. I am looking forward to the week and hopefully be able to get the game going and pick up a good finish!!

Rolex Trophy Switzerland
I just finished up the week in Geneva, Switzerland. It was a very fun week as it was a limited field, only the top 40 on the Order of Merit were invited. I arrived to Geneva Monday morning at 7:30. The event started on Wednesday. I had a couple days to catch up on jet lag and a few days to get some practice on the course. We played at Geneva Country Club, a very nice course built in the middle of the city! To say the least a very expensive club as Geneva is probably one of the top 3 most expensive places in the world!!
On Tuesday I got to walk around the city for a few hours after my practice round tuesday morning. It is a very cool city built around a massive lake. I didn't get to see too much of the city as I had no idea where to go but I did see watches in every shop it seemed! They are known for their watches, hinting the event we played was sponsored by Rolex. Every high end shop you could image was also in this area.
So for the tournament, the event was quite unique as it was a pro-am format all week long. The first day I played with a junior from France. My score obviously counted for the tournament but there was also a tournament for the low team for the day. I played well just putted VERY bad. Shot even 72 and our team wasn't much better! The following three days were played in a foursome with three being amateurs from the club. This is a huge tournament for them so they were looking forward to this week! The second and third days I played similar to the first, hit the ball well just struggled on the greens. I shot rounds of 70 and 71. The final day I shot 68 which was nice it moved me up a little on the leaderboard but maybe just a bit too late. I hit the ball solid tee to green and thankfully unlike the first couple days didn't have the dreaded three putts! Overall it was a good week as everyone in the field made a check which was nice! However, I needed to finish in the top 20 for the money to count on the Money List. I didn't get this done so that wasn't good but I have 5 more weeks to make something good happen! I finished the week in a tie for 23rd on the week.
Every night Rolex set up a huge dinner banquet for us to attend. They had a different country theme to every dinner, pretty cool as they had great food. Something I can't say about all these places over here! Rolex put on a great show for us and this was definitely one of the finer tournaments I have ever been apart of!
Next week I am off to Hamburg, Germany. Looking forward to the week, hopefully good things will happen! I will possibly get to see some relatives over in Germany so looking forward to that as well! I am currently staying at a friends house just south of London. I might be making London my home away from home for the next few weeks.
Thanks for following and I will get another post up at the end of this week in Germany!

eGolf Tour Championship
Finished up the eGolf Tour Championship last week in Gordonsville, Virgina! It was a good week as we played one of the best courses we play all year and I stayed with the same host family I have stayed with for the past several visits to VA! They are amazing people and they sure know how to cook!
Overall I was pretty satisfied with the week. I shot rounds of 70 71 70 69 to finish at -8 and finish t16 for the week. I wasn't able to make many putts but it was also my first round back in competition in 4 weeks. At the end of the week I was still sitting inside the top 5 on the money list which will conclude after the four fall series events later in the year, however the top 20 after the Tour Championship are getting Q School paid for by the tour! A great bonus as Q School is a quick $5000 expense!
Right now I am in Geneva, Switzerland playing in the Rolex which is an invitational on the Euro Challenge Tour. The top 40 guys on the money list are here so it should be a very good week! The last couple days I have been getting used to the course and the sights. Geneva is a very nice place... and very expensive!! Round one is tomorrow, I tee it at 10:45. Looking forward to the week! I will post something when the week wraps up! Thanks for following!!
