So my second week playing on the European Challenge Tour is done. Wasn't the most successful of weeks but I still feel as If I am playing very well. I shot -6 on the week to finish t36 or so. I shot rounds of 68-70-68-72. I felt as if I hit it well almost all week just wasn't able to get everything out of my game to shoot some low scores.
The course we played this week was by far the most bizarre course I have ever seen to be honest and definitely one of the most amazing at the same time. The course sat on the side of a mountain, each hole theoretically going down the mountain. To start the day off you have to take a shuttle/car to the top to the 1st hole. From there you play your way back to the bottom of the mountain to the 18th and the pro shop. It truly was an amazing place, but I sure am ready to go putt on another courses greens because these were not very nice to me! They messed with my head all week.
Tonight I am spending the night in Tenerefe where I will fly out tomorrow to go to Copenhagen, Denmark and then take a train to the next weeks event in Sweden. Should be an interesting trip as it always is I'm finding when traveling oversees! Makes if that much more exciting I guess!
Ill let you know how the week ends up... thanks for following!

Moroccan Golf Classic
What a week!!! If being in Morocco with several friends from the eGolf Tour wasn't enough I was able to win the event! It was pretty much a life changing event as I am going to be staying in Europe / Africa for a few more weeks maybe longer? With this win it puts me in good position to possible chase a European Tour Card as the top 20 on the money list will get one!
Lets start from the beginning of the week. We started out leaving from JFK on Sunday the 13th. From there we landed in Casablanca on Monday. We played several practice rounds Monday-Wed. The tournament started on Thurs. I opened the week with a -3 69. I played well, made 4 birdies on the par 5s and one other birdie followed with two bogeys. It was a great start as I played in the final group of the afternoon. The course is right on the ocean so it tends to get windy every afternoon. The second round I shot -6 (66) to end tied for the lead after two rounds. Pretty cool but the week was still just starting. The third round I shot 72 to fall 3 shots off the lead. I didn't play well at all during the third round, I hit the ball the worst of all week but was able to scramble all day and make pars. The third day looking back was probably the most important day as I had the chance to shoot myself right out of the tournament but was able to hold on and only be 3 shots behind the leader.
Then the final round. I played very solid from tee to green all day! It was a lot of fun. I missed only one green and was able to get that up and down for par. I turned at -1, 2 shots back of the leader and sitting in 3rd place. The back nine I shot -3! I made birdies on 11, 13, and 16. The birdie on 11 was a two putt on a par 5. On 13, a par three straight downhill playing around 170 was a tricky hole as the pin was back left just over the water and long of the pin was a nasty bunker. I hit a great 8 iron to about 15ft. Ended up making the put on the last dying roll to move to -12 for the week! Then made two solid pars on 14 and 15. The 16th hole is the signature hole on Royal Golf El Jadida. It opens up to the ocean. Plays 175yds to the front but the pin was 40 yds on to make the shot play 215. I hit the best 3 iron of the week to 6in! I finished with 2 pars to win the event by 2 shots.
I can't say enough how much fun it was. Winning is one thing but being with some guys from our tour back in the states and the atmosphere was really cool. Thank you all for following and I will keep updates as often as I can.
This week I am at La Gomera, Canary Islands just off the Morocco coast. It is a awesome place!

US Open and Morocco
Sorry I am a bit late on the update from my US Open sectional. I wasn't able to qualify for the tournament so won't be seeing me on tv at Pebble this year. It was my first time being at the sectionals for the US Open and it was a good experience. I was 2 rounds away from teeing it up at Pebble which is a pretty cool thought, unfortunately going to have to wait until next year.
I am currently sitting in the Charlotte airport getting ready to head back over to Morocco for the Challenge Tour event over there. I am looking forward to it! It will be a good week of golf! and in a pretty cool place. I will let you all know how it goes as the week wraps up!!

HGM Hotels Classic at Rock Barn
Just finished up the week in Hickory, NC for another eGolf event. I finished the week at T6 ($5654). It was a good week for me. I shot rounds of 67-68-69-67. Scores were very low on the week as I was 5 back of the eventual winner. When scores get that low there isn't much opportunity for mistakes, unfortunately I made a few on the week which kept me out of contention. I am still very pleased with the way I played and kept with it all week.
The first round started of playing the host course for the week, the Jones course. I really liked the course a lot. They used to host a Champions Tour event there and not sure if they still do. I shot an opening round of -5, however the guy I played with shot -9 on the day. That is when I knew I was in for a shootout! The second day our group calmed down a bit as we only shot a few under on the easier of the two courses for the week, this was a day that I should have played better but oh well. The cut was made at 4 under, I was at 8 and in good position for a weekend move. I hit the ball very well on the third day just wasn't able to make many birdies and made a costly double mid round. The final day I shot 5 under and made a nice move up the leader board!
I am in Springfield, OH today and tomorrow for the US Open sectional qualifier on Monday. We play 36 holes and the low 3 guys get to move on to the US Open next week at Pebble Beach! Check back Monday or Tuesday and I will have it posted how it goes! Thanks everyone for following and for all your support.
