Just finished up last weeks event in Greenwood, SC. I finished the week up T34 on the week. Overall the week for me wasn't anything too special. I made the cut on the number at 3 under and ended the week at 8 under. Early on in the week I made several mistakes on the greens and didn't hit the ball all that well. The weekend for me was better as I hit the ball well, just wasn't able to score in the 3rd round. On the final day I shot -5, I played well and put myself in positions to play even better than the score showed. The final round was good for my confidence going into this weeks event in Hickory. NC.
This week we are in Hickory, NC playing at Rock Barn Golf Course. I have heard they are both nice course and are looking forward to it. Next week I have my US Open sectional in Springfeild, OH. Thanks for following me and I will update after next weeks event.

US Open and Hooters Tour Georgetown
Last Monday I had my local qualifier for the US Open. I played over in Cincinnati at Maketewa CC. I teed off at 8:20 in the morning. It was a interesting day for me. I made 5 birdies and 5 bogeys to shoot even par 72. Usually 72 won't get a playoff but the weather wasn't the best as it rained and misted on us all day which gave me a small chance for a playoff. Only one problem with a playoff was that it would occur after everyone had finished which would be about 7:30PM. Ended up being a 8 person playoff for 3 spots. I made birdie on the first playoff hole and that was it! I finally made it through US Open locals and will be playing sectionals in Springfield, OH. At sectionals there will be a couple spots for the US Open this year at Pebble Beach. It is a 36 hole qualifier so play hard.
Last week I played in the Hooters event in Georgetown, KY. I ended up finishing T25 shooting 14 under. Scores were very low to say the least. I started the week out with a 66 but a rain delay and several inches of rain took all momentum that I had, ended up shooting 70 70 in rounds 2 and 3 taking me out of contention. The final round I shot 68 but double bogeyed my final hole of the tournament. I still played well the final round which was encouraging. This week I am in Ninety Six, SC playing in a eGolf event. I will update as the week finished. Thanks for following!!

Cowans Ford Open
Well last week was great and this week wasn't all that good... I missed the cut this week at the Cowans Ford Open. I shot -3 for the two days and missed the cut by 1 shot. Not sure what to think about the week. I really didn't play bad just wasn't able to make any birdies. It seemed as if all week I was finding myself with bad distances so I was hitting it to 20 feet both day! Not good if you have to make a lot of birdies, which was needed this week to contend for the win. -23 ended up winning the event, needless to say he wasn't having the problems I was. I'm not going to let the week effect my game or the way I feel about my game. I think I am playing very well just a little inconsistent. This year has been very up and down but at least my ups have been very good!
I have this week off from competition. Next Monday I will be in Cincinnati, OH for my US Open Qualifier and then off to Georgetown, KY for a Hooters event that starts on the 13th.
Looking forward to good things to come! I will keep updates as the weeks go on! Thanks for following!!

River Hills Classic
My first win on the eGolf Tour and second of my career! This past week was a great week to say the least! I shot rounds of 69-68-70-66 to win by 3 shots. The winning check was $35,000!
The first round started off Wednesday at River Hills CC. I shot a opening round 69 to get the week started. I hit the ball very solid and putted well. The second and third day were similar to the first as I was able to shoot 68 and 70 in rounds two and three. After the third day I was sitting tied for the lead with three other players. I was really looking forward to the final round as I had given myself another chance to get a win. This was the second final group pairing for me this year and was looking forward to improving on my 2nd place finish in Columbia after falling just short of a win.
The final round started off at 9:50 at River Hills CC. I have a very good pairing and was very excited to get it going! I played the first hole just the way I had it drawn up, hit the fairway and then the green. When I got on the greens I soon realized that I was a little nervous with the putter for some reason. I ended up 3 putting my first hole for bogey. Not the way I wanted to start but I didn't let it bother me as I was able to birdie the following hole to get it back to even. The next couple holes I hit some more putts that weren't all that good but was able to stay at even through 5 holes. On my fifth hole was when I got some confidence back in the putter. I had to make a 8 footer to save par, I made it and the round started going in the right direction. I made the turn at -2 and was tied for the lead with David Robinson at -11.
The entire back nine I hit the ball very well! I don't think I missed a iron shot on the back nine! I made birdies on 10 and 12 to take the lead by one. I played the next 4 holes at even... there wasn't another leaderboard until the 17th tee box so I wasn't sure where I was in relation to the field but knew I was doing ok. As I got onto the 17th tee I was still one up over Derek Oakley. On the 17th I hit a great 5 iron to 15 feet. I made the putt to go up 2 with the short 18th to play. On 18 I hit my hybrid off the tee down the middle of the fairway. I then had 97 yds to the green. It was a perfect lob wedge for me and I nearly flew it into the hole for a 2! I ended up making birdie on the last to finish the day with a 66!! It was a great week in many ways for me; I picked up a win, gained a lot of confidence, and learned a lot about my game under some pressure of a final round.
This week we are up in the Lake Norman area just north of Charlotte, NC. We are playing at Cowans Ford and Northstone CC this week. I am looking forward to the week as I played well here last year and I like both of the courses.
I want to thank everyone for all your support and emails I have received! It means a lot to me! I will let you all know how this week goes when the week is over.
