El Jadida Morocco Challenge Tour Event

Today is the day that I should be returning from Morocco, but our friend mother nature had something else planned. I never thought a volcano in Iceland would ever cause any problems for anyone especially people in Europe and even Morocco! As you all know the volcano caused a lot of problems for the airline industry and cause millions of people to miss or not be able to catch flights.
The Challenge Tour event in Morocco was canceled because many of the players were unable to get to the tournament due to t he volcanic ash.
Our group arrived on the 18th. The first couple days we were there we played Royal Golf El Jadida, the course in our resort. Monday we went down the road to play the Mazagan resort's golf course. The course was one of the best courses I have ever played. It sat directly on the ocean and had some amazing views!
On the Tuesday of the week we played a Pro-Am that was ran by the Challenge Tour. It was a good day and the first time I have ever been apart of a foursome that spoke four different languages! The guys in my group were great and I couldn't have asked for a better Pro-Am.
On Wednesday we went to Casablanca where we did some sightseeing. We went to the third largest Mosque in the world, it was a pretty cool place. For lunch that day we went to Rick's, the restaurant in the movie Casablanca. After all this we went back to play another quick nine at El Jadida.
The event is going to be rescheduled to a future date yet to be determined. I am planning on going back as long as it fits well into my schedule.
This week I am in Charlotte, NC for a couple eGolf events both this week and the following week.
I will update as the week goes on.

St James Plantation

I am a little late on last weeks tournament. This past week I was up in Southport, NC for a eGolf event. The week started out poorly for me as I shot 4 over on my front nine, and the rest of the week wasn't really a whole lot better honestly. I ended up finishing around 50th for the week and cashing a check, a small one but it was still a check.
This week I am down in Hilton Head working with my swing coach, Tim Cooke and have got some of my issues straightened out. I am starting to feel better about my game and am trying to get back some positive thoughts!
Next week is going to be a great week! I am leaving for Morocco on Saturday to play in a European Challenge Tour event. I received an exemption into the event from my 2nd in Columbia a few weeks ago. It will be a good trip as I have never been to Africa and never played a European Tour sanctioned event! The other cool thing is the Moroccan Prince is picking up the tab for the trip!
My dad also decided to make the trip over so I will have him carrying the bag which will be a good thing seeing that he caddied for me in Columbia where I finished 2nd! (hopefully his head doesn't get too big! haha!)
I will try and keep up with the blog as I am over in Africa next week! Thanks for following me and thank you all for your support!!
